Comment: This sculpture was first located at the Musée de Luxembourg, from 1926 at the Louvre and finally at the Musée d'Orsay. It was the model of the monumental sculpture produced by Dalou at a Sorbonne. It was exhibited in 1915 at the French section of the Universal Expo of San Francisco.
