Abstract: Thermometer bulb with short stem. Some of mercury is at the upper end of the tube. At the upper end (closed) at two places, '42 1/3' is marked with diamond - one was probably marked in error, there is a small opposite the other and there is another mark (a line) without a number some distance below (about 6,6 cm.) but both are faint.
