Abstract: A thermometer in rectangular wooden frame, on top of which are the words: 'Thermometre de Réaumur Approuvé de l'accademie Royale des Sciences Par Assier Perica' and at the base 'Rue St Antoine ……….' Thermometer bulb is a flattened spiral with 5 turns. Scale is graduated from -17° to 51°. The thermometer is fixed behind a slit in the frame: the spiral bulb is visible. There is a glass cover at the back and the scale and the details are also painted on the back of the frame, and the instrument can thus be read at the back as well as at the front.
