Abstract: Barometer in frame suspended by hook from a frame mounted on four-limbed trestle support with struts. Brass plate inset in wood at top reads: "Barometre de Megnie pour Mr Lavoisier, de l'Academie R.le des Sciences &c. N° 2. 1779." With vernier in silvered-brass and centigrade mercury thermometer reading from -15 to +65.
