(1780-01-26): The Académie, at request of Necker, appoints a commission (Lavoisier, Tenon, Le Roy, Duhamle de Monceau and de Montigny) to report on a proposed plan for new prisons. At the same meeting M. Colombier read a memoir on prison reform. |
