(1785-04-29): Preparation of oxygen. Action of sulphuric acid on manganese, and continued heating to decompose the sulphate. Repeated the 9, 14 and 16 May.
(1785-05-07): Combustion of spirit of wine and of olive oil to determine their compositions. Data for spirit of wine are recalculated on July 5, 1788.
(1785-05-18): Combustion of sulphur. Most of the these combustion experiments were described in the Mémoire sur la combinaison du principe oxygène avec l'espirt de vin.
(1785-05-30) (1785-06-10): Experiments on alcoholic fermentation.
(1785-10-19) (1785-10-20): Experiments on the formation of nitric acid. Passes oxygen and nitrous air through separate tubes into flask containing water.
(1785-12-25): Study of heat of combustion of olive oil.

(1786-01) (1786-03): Decomposition of water by charcoal.
(1786-02-23): Research on electrical phenomena. Notion that electricity is a slow combustion, electrical effects resulting from decomposition of air. Uses an electrical machine in a vacum chamber, constructed by Fortin, to examine effects in vacuum and in
(1786-04-03): Determination of the density of nitrogen. Followed by notes on similar determination for atmospheric air (1 March 1764, March and April 1785) and for oxygen (27 July 1785).
(1786-06-22): Experiments on the formation of nitric acid. Continuation of the experiments of October 1785; brings oxygen and nitrous air into contact in an "eudiomètre hydrostatique."
(1786-08-06) (1786-09-15): Study of the germination of garden gress seeds under vacuum, in oxygen and in nitrogen. Examination of gases liberated.
(1786-09-16): Experiments on alcoholic fermentation. Addition of barm (levure de bière) to a sugar solution; the fixed air evolved in absorbed by solution of alkali. Similar experiments the 27 April and 5 June 1787.
(1786-09-20) (1786-09-29): At the Arsenal: experiments on a new combustible proposed by M. le Prieur du Temple are carried out by members of the committee on agriculture, the Régisseurs de poudres and representatives of the Académie.
(1786-09-27): Heat of combustion of spirit of wine.
(1786-11-09): Gold dissolved in aqua regia; weights and measures. Continued February 20, 1787.

(1787-01-05): New experiment on the heat of formation of water. The laboratory notebook says 5 January 1786, but it is surely 1787. Prepared the 5th, the experiment is done the 13th and repeated the 16th.
(1787-02-20): Experiments on yeast; followed on May 4 by analysis by distillation. Prelude to further studies on alcoholic fermentation.
(1787-03-26): experiments on the spirit of wine and nitric acid.
(1787-06-05) (1787-06-12): Series of studies on fermentation. Analysis of fermented liquor, distillation of the alchool.
(1787-06-06): Action of sulphuric acid on sugar. Acid diluted by half; heating. Carbonization of sugar, attempt of analysis of residue.
(1787-06-22) (1787-07-19): Analysis of sugar by distillation. Obtains an acid which upon treatment (oxidation) with nitric acid gives oxalic acid.
(1787-07-27): Combustion of ether and of alcohol in a lamp fed by vital air, under a bell jar over mercury. Measurement of quantity of fixed air produced.
   1788 
(1788-03-20): Session of experiments at the Arsenal to convert Marsilio Landriani to the new theory.
(1788-03-22): Analysis of iron from Le Creusot.
(1788-04-29): Analysis of sugar. Oxidation by mercuric oxide, measurement of quantities of carbon dioxide and water produced. Calculation of the composition.
