(1792-12): As early as this date Lavoisier began preparation of a work, encyclopedic in nature, to cover many aspects of chemistry both theoretical and practical. The work was never completed.
(1792-12) (1793-02): At Lavoisier's urging the he summarize his philosophical ideas, Dupont de Nemours wrote his Philosophie de l'Univers. Written in winter 1792-1793 when threat of imprisonment forced him to live in seclusion at Bois-des-Fossées. Not pub
